FAQs
Questions stores ask before switching fulfillment
Grouped by service. If what you need is not here, email contact@neofulfill.com and you will get a straight answer rather than a booking link.
General
Who is Neofulfill for?
Ecommerce stores and DTC brands shipping roughly ten orders a day or more. Below that, the account management we provide costs more than it returns for both sides and a standard supplier usually serves you better. There is no upper limit.
What do you actually do?
Four things on one account: dropshipping and ecommerce fulfillment, B2B and wholesale fulfillment, custom branding and private label, and China sourcing with quality control. Running them together removes the seams where money usually leaks between separate providers.
How quickly can I start?
Connecting the store is usually the quick part; receiving and putting away inventory is what sets the timeline.
Do you require a contract?
Commercial terms are set per account against your volume and what the operation actually has to do for you, and they are written down before anything starts. Ask us what applies to your account rather than working from a figure published for someone else's.
Where are your warehouses?
Neofulfill operates two warehouses in Shenzhen and works with a network of partner warehouses across Europe and the United States. Those partner facilities are not Neofulfill-owned, and where holding stock in-market makes sense we coordinate it through them while sourcing stays connected to China.
How much does it cost?
All-in cost is quoted from your SKU list, order profile and destination mix rather than published as an average, because shipping dominates the total and varies far too much between stores for a single figure to be useful.
Dropshipping Fulfillment
What is dropshipping fulfillment?
Dropshipping fulfillment is the outsourced handling of everything that happens after a customer pays, receiving the order, picking and packing the product, and shipping it with tracking. A dedicated fulfillment partner also holds your inventory, inspects what comes in, ships under your branding and gives you stock and tracking data you can act on.
How many orders a day do I need before you take me on?
Neofulfill is generally best suited to stores with proven products and consistent order volume, typically around 10+ orders per day. Fit also depends on SKU count, destinations, sourcing requirements and operational complexity.
How fast do orders ship?
Fulfillment and delivery time depend on the destination, the shipping lane, the product and how your inventory is set up, so there is no single figure that would be honest across all of them. We quote the relevant routes against your own destination mix and parcel profile.
Can you put my branding on the packaging?
Yes, custom mailers, boxes, inserts and thank-you cards are all available, and the packaging is held as warehouse stock so branded orders do not pack slower. Print runs are quoted per run against your artwork and quantity rather than included by default.
What happens when a product runs out of stock?
Stock levels are visible to you on the platform rather than reported after the fact, and replenishment is coordinated with your account contact against your current sales velocity. If a SKU does run short, the affected orders are flagged so you can decide whether to hold, substitute or refund instead of them shipping late without anyone saying so.
Do you handle returns?
Yes. How returns are handled depends on the destination, the economics of the product and the fulfillment setup you agree with us, for some products a local return and restock is worth it, and for others it is not. Delivery issues and exceptions are handled through the same workflow. The detail is on returns and after-sales support.
Can I keep my existing suppliers and use Neofulfill for fulfillment?
In most setups, yes. Where the operational arrangement allows us to receive and check inventory from your supplier, you keep that relationship and we handle fulfillment from the point the stock arrives. Whether it works depends on how the goods arrive and in what condition, which your account contact will go through with you before anything moves.
Can Neofulfill source products and fulfill orders under the same operation?
Yes, and it is the main reason operators consolidate with us. Procurement, quality control and fulfillment run on one account, so a quality problem found on inbound goes back to the supplier who supplied them rather than between two vendors who each blame the other. Deeper sourcing work, supplier selection, samples, production follow-up, runs through China Sourcing on the same account.
How do I switch from my current dropshipping agent to Neofulfill?
We start by understanding your current setup: volume, destinations, SKUs, and how orders and inventory move today. Your store is connected alongside the existing flow rather than instead of it, inventory is either sourced or received from your current supplier, and order flow transitions once the operation is ready. The aim is that nothing stops selling while it happens, which usually means running both for a short overlap rather than switching on one date.
What delivery times can I promise my customers?
That depends on your lanes, your parcel weights and where stock is held, so we quote it from your actual profile rather than publishing an average that would not apply to you. Send your destination mix and we come back with lane times you can put on your shipping page.
Is every shipment tracked?
Every service we quote is a tracked service. Untracked economy mail is cheaper and generates disputes you cannot defend, so we do not offer it as a default.
Where do my customers send returns?
To a return address in their own region rather than back to China, so the return costs a domestic leg instead of an international one. That is what makes inspecting and restocking worthwhile.
Do returned items go back into my sellable stock?
Only if they pass inspection. Each unit is graded, and you see the grade and the reason. Resellable units return to available stock, damaged ones are held or written off, the choice is recorded per unit, not applied in bulk.
B2B & Wholesale Fulfillment
What is B2B fulfillment?
B2B fulfillment covers the preparation and shipment of orders from one business to another, retailers, distributors or other commercial customers. Unlike individual ecommerce parcels, wholesale orders often involve larger quantities, specific packaging or labeling requirements, and different shipping methods.
Can you handle both my wholesale and my ecommerce orders?
Yes. Neofulfill supports both ecommerce fulfillment and B2B or wholesale operations. The exact inventory and fulfillment setup depends on your products, destinations and operational requirements, so it is agreed per account rather than assumed. The consumer side is described on dropshipping fulfillment.
What is the minimum wholesale order you will handle?
Wholesale requirements vary significantly by product and shipment type, so there is no useful single figure. Share the order quantity, the product, the destination and the preparation requirements and we can confirm the appropriate setup.
Can Neofulfill source the products for my wholesale order?
Yes. We can coordinate product procurement as part of the wholesale operation, with the factory price shown separately from our fee. Deeper supplier selection, sampling and production follow-up are handled through China Sourcing on the same account.
Can I use my existing supplier?
In most setups, yes. Where the operational arrangement allows us to receive and verify inventory from your supplier, you keep that relationship and we handle preparation, fulfillment and shipping from the point the goods arrive. Whether it works depends on how the goods arrive and in what condition, which is confirmed before anything moves.
Can you brand and label wholesale products before shipping?
Yes, product labels, barcode application, carton labels, branded packaging and inserts where they suit the order. Send the buyer's requirements with the order so the preparation is quoted against them. The detail is on wholesale branding and labeling.
Do you ship wholesale orders internationally?
Yes. International shipment is coordinated based on the product, the volume, the destination and how quickly the goods are needed, by air or sea or a split between them. Transit times depend on all four, so they are quoted against your actual shipment rather than published as a general figure.
Can you meet a retailer's own delivery requirements?
Send the buyer or retailer requirements to our team and we will confirm what preparation, labeling and shipment requirements can be supported before the account is onboarded. We would rather tell you what is out of scope up front than discover it on a delivery.
Custom Branding & Private Label
What is the difference between white label and private label?
White label generally uses an existing product that is sold under your brand with customized labels or packaging. Private label typically involves a greater level of product customization, or manufacturing specifically for your brand. The practical difference is how much of the product itself changes, and therefore how much development and commitment the project requires.
What is the difference between OEM and ODM?
OEM manufacturing is generally used when the client defines the product specifications or design that the manufacturer produces. ODM uses the manufacturer's existing product-development capabilities or designs as the basis for a product that can then be adapted to the brand. In practice many projects sit somewhere between the two, and which label applies matters less than agreeing who owns the design and the tooling.
What is custom packaging?
Custom packaging covers the boxes, mailers, inserts, thank-you cards and labels around the product, the presentation a customer handles rather than the product itself. It is a separate decision from changing the product, which is white label, private label, OEM or ODM depending on how far the change goes.
Can Neofulfill help me create a white-label product?
Yes. Where a suitable existing product is available, we coordinate bringing it to market under your brand with customized labels and packaging. How far the branding can go on the product itself depends on the product and the factory, and that is established before you commit rather than discovered during production.
Can Neofulfill help develop a custom product?
In many cases, yes, through private label, OEM or ODM depending on what needs to change and who supplies the design. Not every product concept is manufacturable at a given quantity or budget, so the honest first step is reviewing the brief against real factory capability rather than confirming it in advance.
What is the minimum order for custom packaging?
MOQ depends on the packaging type, the material, the printing process and the supplier, so a single published figure would be wrong for most projects. Neofulfill confirms the applicable MOQ after reviewing your packaging requirements.
How long does production take?
Lead time depends on the product, the level of customization, how many sample rounds the specification needs, the factory and the quantity. Sampling is usually the longest stage and the one most often compressed, which is where projects go wrong. We give you a schedule against your actual brief rather than a general range.
What is branded dropshipping?
Branded dropshipping is dropshipping where the order arrives in your own packaging rather than a supplier's, typically custom mailers, boxes and inserts applied at fulfillment. It is the lightest form of branding and it pairs with dropshipping fulfillment; changing the product itself is white label, private label, OEM or ODM.
Does branded packaging slow down dispatch?
No, because the packaging is held as stock at the warehouse before orders arrive. It is only slow if it has to be produced or shipped in at the moment of dispatch, which is exactly what holding it avoids.
What does a print run cost?
It is quoted per run against your artwork and quantity rather than published as a flat rate, because unit cost moves sharply with volume and with the item. Send the artwork and the quantity you want to commit to and you get a real number.
What is the difference between white label and private label?
White label is an existing product sold under your brand. Private label is a product developed to your own specification. White label is faster and cheaper; private label is more defensible because a competitor cannot simply order the same thing.
Can a competitor sell the identical product?
Yes, unless you have negotiated exclusivity. That is the trade-off you accept for the lower cost and faster launch. Once a product is proven, moving it to private label is the usual way to close that gap.
What is the difference between OEM and ODM?
Under OEM the design is yours and the factory manufactures to it. Under ODM the factory's design is the starting point and you specify changes and branding. OEM gives stronger exclusivity and costs more; ODM is faster and cheaper.
When should I move from white label to private label?
Once demand is proven and the lack of exclusivity is costing you, typically when competitors appear selling the identical product. Before that point, development spend is at risk on a product the market has not confirmed.
China Sourcing
What does a China sourcing agent do?
A sourcing agent identifies and assesses suppliers, compares quotations, coordinates samples and production, reviews goods before shipment and arranges freight. Being on the ground makes it possible to assess supplier capability more directly and resolve issues earlier in the process.
How do you charge for sourcing?
Neofulfill's sourcing fee is quoted according to the project, product and order profile. Factory pricing and Neofulfill's service fee are presented separately, so you can see both numbers.
How do you evaluate suppliers?
Against what the product and the destination market require rather than on unit price alone: production capability for the specification, the documentation the supplier can provide, and whether the commercial terms work at your volume. Where a candidate is a trading company rather than a manufacturer, we say so and let you decide, since for a small first run that is sometimes the right answer.
How long does sourcing take?
Timing depends on the product, the supplier search, sample rounds, customization level, production quantity and shipping method. Neofulfill provides the relevant timeline after reviewing the actual sourcing brief.
Can you source a product I already sell?
Yes. Neofulfill can review an existing product and supplier setup, compare alternative sourcing options and assess whether there is an opportunity to improve cost, quality, production control or fulfillment.
Do you handle air and sea freight?
Yes. Neofulfill can coordinate air and sea freight and shipment preparation from China. The appropriate route and the customs requirements depend on the product, the destination and the commercial setup, so those are confirmed per shipment rather than promised in advance.
How do you know a supplier is a real manufacturer?
By going there. Business licences and platform badges are worth checking and are routinely misleading; a visit to the production line is not. That is the practical reason for having staff based in China rather than sourcing by email.
How is sourcing charged?
As a percentage of order value, with the factory price shown to you separately from our fee, so you can see both numbers. The percentage depends on the size and complexity of the order and is confirmed before you commit.
When does inspection happen?
During production rather than only at the end, because that is when a finding can still be fixed by the factory. Pre-production, first-article, in-line, packing and pre-shipment checks each answer a different question.
What do I actually receive?
A report with photographs and measurements against your written specification, not a pass or fail. You need to see what was found to decide what to do about it.
Air or sea for a first production run?
Usually air for at least part of it. A first run is the point of maximum uncertainty, and weeks of sea transit before you know whether the product sells is an expensive way to find out. Splitting the run is often the better answer.
How is freight quoted?
Against your actual cartons, weights and destination, and quoted as landed cost including clearance and delivery to the warehouse, not as a port-to-port figure that omits what you will still owe.
Still deciding?
Send your order volume and markets. We come back with the routes and a per-order price built on your actual profile, and tell you plainly if we are the wrong fit.
